Computer Class Description Basic Computer – An introduction to basic computer skills. No computer experience is needed. Beginning Internet – Takes the student to the Internet and explains the basics of the browser screen, searching, and navigation of the World Wide Web. Intermediate Internet – Demonstrates how to use Elyria Public Library’s Online Catalog. Expands on the searching skills taught in Beginning Internet. Introduction to Email – Teaches the basics of email: how to send and receive an email and an email with an attachment; use the address book and discusses email security. Microsoft Word for Beginners – Teaches the basic commands used in word processing. Focuses on what can be done with Microsoft Word not on typing skill. Genealogy – An introduction of what is and is not possible to do on the Internet. Explore several websites that will get you started using the Internet as another tool in researching you family tree. Offered three to four times a year. |
