JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
This is an intermediate level clerical position within a department. Provides necessary clerical support for department and may provide training and assistance to lower level technicians. Drives the Bookmobile. Promotes library services to the community. May be assigned to work in other departments as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • • Check-in and check-out library materials
  • • Assist patrons in locating materials and placing patron holds.
  • • Shelve library materials
  • • Conduct online searches.
  • • Maintain Bookmobile schedule.
  • • Ability to perform the physical activities associated with this job including the strength to regularly lift and move materials weighing more than 5-50 lbs.
  • • Repeatedly navigate the Bookmobile steps.
  • • Drive Bookmobile as assigned.
  • • Assist with maintain Bookmobile.
  • • High School diploma or equivalent and valid driver’s license with an acceptable Driving record and proof of insurance are required. Must meet insurability requirements of the Library’s insurance provider to operate the Bookmobile.
Hours:40 hours per week, including evenings & weekends
Pay rate: $10.08 per hour
Current rate for a lateral move.

Computer/Network Technician – 40 hours

Job Title: Computer/Network Technician

Positions Supervised: None
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs set-up, support, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of stand-alone and networked PCs, software, terminals and peripherals as well as presentation equipment. Support servers, workstations and other network equipment as well as the network connections to the library automation system SIRSI using the Workflows client server.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Two-year Associates Degree in Computer Technology, Electronic Technology or equivalent work-related experience. Knowledge of various computer hardware: PC workstations, servers, terminals, printers, print servers and various other business related computer equipment. Working knowledge of both LAN and WAN computer networks with wireless experience being a plus. Working knowledge of various Windows operating systems such as Windows XP, 7, through 10 and Server 2003, 2008 through 2012. Ability to update software, system drivers, and virus and security software is a must. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Internet browsers and telnet applications is required. Software programming skills are a plus. Work attendance will be considered.
Hours: 40 hours per week, including evenings & weekends
Pay rate: $17.32 per hour

Manager-Adult Services – 40 hours

Job Title: Manager-Adult Services
Department: Central Library
Immediate Supervisor: System Coordinator-Adult Services
Positions Supervised: Professional and Para-Professional
FLSA Status: Exempt
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide effective, efficient delivery of library services consistent with EPLS standards and policy directives, while being responsive to community needs and desires. Plan, develop, and manage all aspects of adult services at a full service branch library. Work with System Coordinator and other managers to coordinate adult programming and collection development.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Provides necessary clerical support for department and may provide training and assistance to lower level technicians.
  • Master of Library Science degree from an ALA accredited school of Librarianship.
  • Two to four years of professional librarian experience. Some indication of supervisor abilities.
  • Ability to convey proficiency in the core competencies of the position.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to communicate properly with the patrons, co-workers and the managers of the library.
  • Answer a variety of routine and complex reference questions by phone, in person, by written or electronic communication.
  • The ability to plan, present and evaluate creative and innovative programming for various ages, based on knowledge of developmental stages, best practices and community needs and interests, both inside and outside the library location.
  • This position has responsibility for creation development and design of a full calendar of departmental programs.
  • Ability to perform administrative record keeping and reporting, including personal scheduling and timesheets.
  • Work attendance will be considered.
