The Local History and Genealogy Collection of the Elyria Public Library System is located on the first of the Central Library. The Collection is a result of the Daughters of the American Revolution having donated its extensive collection to the Library at the close of World War II. Today, it includes over 2,000 volumes, plus manuscripts, periodicals, microfilm, and some photographs.

Items continue to be added to the Collection which can only be used in the Library.

The public is welcome to use the Collection during regular Library hours. The Collection's items may be accessed on public terminals or a Reference Librarian can answer specific questions, though extensive research cannot be expected. If you must leave the area temporarily, advise a Librarian or attach a note to the materials.

The Local History and Genealogy Collection of the Elyria Public Library System is located on the first floor of the Central Library.
