Introduction to collage, both flat and 3-D. Packet handouts will showcase different examples of collage. Objective of the program is to create a collage self-portrait or a collage that tells a story or expresses a view point. There will be a wide selection (I hope. - I plan to put an email out for request for materials of all kinds.) of material for them wo work with. Collage, I will explain, also has to do with working with found items and not something bought from a store.  I will suggest to them that collage is about thinking outside the box. There will be some basic art history background.. Take aways will be a packet on collage and their art project. As with all three of these Middle School Art Speak programs, participants will be encouraged to present their work in a Deember Middle School Art Speak Art Show. (Date not decided yet.)
