SERVICE UPDATE PASSPORT PROCESSING SERVICES: AVAILABLE NOW! The EPLS West River location is now an official Passport Acceptance Facility for the U.S. Department of State. Passport application processing and photo services are available by appointment only. Call the West River Patron Services Desk at 440-324-2270 to make an appointment. Appointments must be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance. The application process can take 20-60 minutes per applicant. Monday - Thursday: 9:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. Friday - Saturday: 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. What to Bring to Your Appointment 1. Completed Passport Application/DS-11 Application for a U.S. Passport: The DS-11 form can be completed online or printed from the State Department Website. Forms are also available at the EPLS West River Location. - Forms must be legible using black ink only. - Forms need to be completed before an acceptance agent can begin to process your application. - Do not sign the application ahead of time. Wait until instructed by the agent. - All submitted documents must be originals or certified copies. 2. Proof of U.S. Citizenship, such as birth certificate or naturalization certificate. Original or certified copies only, no photocopies. 3. Current proof of identity, such as an Ohio driver’s license. Visit travel.state.gov for other acceptable forms of proof of identity. GOODBYE, OVERDRIVE Starting in February 2022, Overdrive will be pulled from app stores and plans to gradually transfer all services from the app over to Libby by the end of 2022. Current users will still be able to use OverDrive when it is pulled from the app store but are encouraged to make the switch to Libby, which offers several improved features: • Easy onboarding for new users • A unified bookshelf for all loans and holds • Support for multiple library cards • Direct tech support within the app • Best-in-class ebook reader and audio player And much, much more! VHS TO DVD CONVERTER Are all your home videos stuck on VHS tapes that you can’t even watch anymore? We have a solution for that! Our West River library hosts a VHS to DVD conversion device that is available for anyone to use.
