The purpose of the Friends of the Elyria Public Library System shall be to maintain an association of persons interested in the Elyria Public Library System and concerned for its welfare; to focus public attention on Library service, facilities and needs; to influence gifts and bequests; and to bring greater awareness of the Library's importance in our community.

Book Sale
The dates for the sale are October 9 - 11, 2026, at 1219 Taylor St. in Elyria.
Donations
Accepted donations include gently used books, CDs, DVDs, games, puzzles, vinyl, and children's books. Magazines, encyclopedias, textbooks, cassettes, and VHS are not accepted.
Donations in the amount of one box or two bags or less will be accepted on site at the EPL Central, South, and West River locations. If the donation is more than one box or two bags, the donor may stop at any of the drop-off dates listed below or set up an appointment with the Friends for a drop off date and time. Schedule an appointment by emailing the Friends at elyria.friends@elyrialibrary.org.
