Middle School Art Speak: Basic Drawing

Introduction to line drawing, basics on art as a form of self expression. Packets handed out will discus the concept of continuous line drawing and the use of shading and light or heavy lines to create dimension. They will get brief exposure to art history (Albrecht Durer). Class objectives are to do 3-4 continous line drawing portraits either of themselves or their fellow attendees. These along with their packets will be their take aways. They will be coached to hold onto them or embellish so that they may be displayed on an end of the year South Middle School Art Show (December).
